Licensed Optometrists

Optometrists are specifically educated, trained and licensed to examine the eye and surrounding structures for the purpose of prescribing eyewear or contact lenses.  All doctors are board certified optometrists and Dr. Kaplan specializes in comprehensive eye exams, as well as Sports Vision.

Suncoast Eye Center Transportation

Suncoast Eye Center can accommodate patients with oxygen as long as the patient brings along their own supply. Wheelchair patients are also welcome providing the patient can walk into the van on their own. Our vans are not equipped with wheelchair lifts..

Non Emergency Transportation

The Suncoast Eye Center has compiled a list of non-emergency patient transportation companies throughout the different counties. If you reside outside our transportation area and are in need of transportation you may utilize the list below at your own discretion. Some insurance providers may cover transportation, you should check with your company to see if they have a contract with a certain company.

There are many government funded and private transportation companies throughout the state of Florida. Please understand that Suncoast Eye Center is not affiliated with any of the companies and organizations listed below, we are just offering information.

Saving Sight Together

Dr. Lawrence A. Seigel, in an continuing effort to formally reach out into the community to help others, successfully established the Suncoast Eye Center Foundation in 1985. These non-profit Foundations goals are to provide or obtain, necessary eye care and treatment for the needy in our community and educate the communities served by the Suncoast Eye Center about eye health care.

Eye Surgery Institute

The Suncoast Eye Surgery Institute first opened January 1989. Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with two operating rooms, two laser suites and comfortable pre and post-operative areas.
