Optometrists are specifically educated, trained and licensed to examine the eye and surrounding structures for the purpose of prescribing eyewear or contact lenses.  All doctors are board certified optometrists and Dr. Kaplan specializes in comprehensive eye exams, as well as Sports Vision.

Dear Doctor Seigel and all of the rest of the staff at the Suncoast Eye Center/Eye Surgery Institute,

I want to thank each and everyone of you from the reception area, to the nurses in the surgical waiting area and the anesthetist and the nurses and staff in the surgery suite and recovery area.

Each and everyone of you made my experience with having my cataracts removed less stressful and made me feel like I was just as important as any other patient you deal with at your center.

With the condition of my back, you were all so supportive, understanding and made my experience allot more comfortable than I had ever expected.  Knowing that I am unable to lay flat, you made it possible to get me into a position that I was as comfortable as possible under the circumstances, and I thank you all so very much for every single thing you did to make this experience one that I can tell people about without any horror stories (like I used to hear about years ago, prior to all the new technology you have now). 

Please make sure that Doctor Seigel sees this and let him know that I feel that he is one of the nicest Doctor's of any kind I have ever met. He is so kind and companionate and we sure need a lot more Doctor's like him these days.  Thank You Doctor Seigel for your understanding of my back condition as well.

These non-profit Foundations goals are to provide or obtain, necessary eye care and treatment for the needy in our community and educate the communities served by the Suncoast Eye Center about eye health care.

The Suncoast Eye Surgery Institute first opened January 1989. Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with two operating rooms, two laser suites and comfortable pre and post-operative areas.
